SKI THE SLOPES

The nearby 49 Degrees North Ski Area is one of the nation’s best-kept secrets. It has two peaks, seven lifts, 25 feet/7.62 meters of average annual snowfall over 82 mostly north-facing trails that offer 1,850 feet/564 meters of vertical drop over 2,325 acres.

FISH THE RIVER

Well stocked with Black Crappie; Brook, Brown, Bull, Cutthroat, and Rainbow Trout; Small- and Largemouth Bass; Kokanee Salmon; Whitefish; Pumpkinseed; and Yellow Perch, the Pend Oreille is an angler’s paradise.
